AA and Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment
DWI Lawyer Serving Houston and Harris County
Individuals who are convicted of DWI in the state of Texas are required to receive a drug/alcohol evaluation as one of the conditions of their probation or community supervision, in order to determine the probability of them committing multiple DWI offenses. These evaluations are also used to uncover and disclose whether or not the individual has a problem with drug or alcohol abuse.
If you are a first time DWI offender, you will be required to attend and complete an approved DWI education class. If your evaluation showed you have a drug or alcohol problem, or you have had multiple DWI convictions, then you also be required to attend AA or an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program available through the probation department. Contact a Houston DWI attorney at my firm immediately if you have any questions about your court-ordered treatment. My staff and I are very familiar with all aspects of DWI cases and we will be able to answer your questions, and help you either complete your requirements or challenge any apparent discrepancies or injustices.
